Frequently Asked Questions
What is the standard turnaround time for criminal record checks? For full employment background reports?
Associated Services has great relationships with county records clerks, and as a result, over 70% of our criminal record orders are completed within the first 24 hours; 92% within 48 hours.
Full employment background checks are processed on a rush basis, with most reports being completed within 48 to 72 hours. Some former employers and schools, however, require a written authorization, which may take additional time.
How do I place an order and receive background reports through Associated Services?
Most of our clients use our web-based ordering system to place background requests. However, we will also gladly accept orders via fax or e-mail. Completed reports can be returned to you using any of these delivery systems.
What type of contract or up-front fees are involved?
There are never any up-front fees to work with Associated Services Background Check; we do not charge you to become our client. Furthermore, there’s never a contract to sign. We feel that your satisfaction in our services – and not a contract – should keep bringing you back as a customer. Since 1995, Associated Services Background Check has a 98% approval rating from all its clients.

System Feature – SwiftHire
We have a feature in our system called SwiftHire. It includes electronic consent and automatic ordering. No more data entry required! This will save time and expedite the ordering process.
What is SwiftHire?
SwiftHire allows you to login to your account online and email your candidates a link to an electronic disclosure and background check authorization form. Your candidate fills it out and submits it, and when you login, you will see that there is a Swifthire order to review that was automatically created from the information the candidate filled out. This will save data entry time. You must review the order that the system created, and make sure that everything the candidate entered is correct (spelling of name, DOB, SSN, address, etc.) and that what you want to order is complete and accurate. Then you place the order. Please note that you must order a criminal package to use SwiftHire.
